Founded at the intersection of graphic and textile design, Zitozza is a venture in modularity. The brand utilizes a custom-engineered block-printing system—a tileset of machine-cut, interchangeable blocks that allow for infinite pattern combinations on sustainable, tactile fabrics.

Inspired by the functional optimism of Modernism and the raw honesty of Brutalism, Zitozza reclaims industrial geometries, transforming 'unloved' urban forms into cherished domestic objects. As a solo venture, the brand encompasses the full lifecycle of a design business: from product development and R&D to global logistics and digital strategy.

materiality & method

By fusing traditional Arts & Crafts block-printing with European Modernist principles, Zitozza creates a bridge between Hungarian heritage and Scottish material sensibility.

The Modular System:

Each textile is hand-printed using a standardised tileset. This 'modular geometry' ensures full customisability while maintaining architectural precision—no two outcomes are identical, yet all remain within a cohesive aesthetic grid.

Sustainable Integrity:

Printing on jute, recycled linen, and recycled cotton, the brand prioritises material honesty and environmental compatibility, ensuring the tactile experience matches the structural rigour of the design.

Editorial & Discourse

Beyond the physical product, Zitozza serves as a platform for critical discourse on the built environment and the origins of modern ornament. Through a series of long-form articles and research papers, I explore the intersections of Brutalist architecture, industrial history, and the evolution of textile craft.

This editorial practice is an essential component of the brand, fostering collaborations with international designers and providing a space for 'material storytelling.' By documenting the inspirations behind each collection—from the utility of urban pylons to the modularity of modernist housing—I aim to bridge the gap between the objects we own and the environments we inhabit.

brand vALUES & language

Variable Visual Identity

The Zitozza brand language is an extension of the modular printing system. The animated logo mirrors the interchangeable nature of the woodblocks, creating a dynamic identity that evolves alongside the patterns.

Systems Design

From the e-commerce interface to social media strategy, every touchpoint is designed to reflect the brand's core values: geometric play, structural clarity, and material sustainability. The latest evolution includes a digital tool for bespoke pattern generation, allowing the user to engage directly with the modular logic of the brand.
